The NBA finals!

The smoke and the dust in the conference battles has already been cleared up. Two victors emerges to claim the Larry O' Brien trophy in the 2006-2007 NBA season. The Cleveland Cavaliers were lucky enough to caught the highly-touted Detroit off-night. The King James and the Cavs are going to the Finals for the first time. They may have won the Eastern Conf title but it is still the Pistons who are the better team. Over the West, the traditional power San Antonio Spurs blasted the Utah Jazz, 4 games to one. As to be expected, the trio of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili will lead the West champs to its 4th NBA crown in 9 years.

This is an exciting finals matchup as many sports analyst have predicted the possibility of long series. My dream finals matchup, Pistons against Suns, have never really went into reality. Tsk, tsk, many will definitely regret not seeing the competition between the best point guards of each conference: Billups and Nash. Nonetheless, Cavs and Spurs series is not a boring one.

Below are the potential matchup between the teams:

PG: Tony Parker (SA) vs Daniel Gibson (CLE) Edge: SA
SG: Manu Ginobili (SA) vs Larry Hughes (CLE) Edge: SA
SF: Bruce Bowen (SA) vs Lebron James (CLE) Edge: CLE
PF: Tim Duncan (SA) vs Andres Varejao (CLE) Edge: SA
C: Oberto Fabrico (SA) vs Zyrdunas Ilgauskas (CLE) Edge: CLE

My prediction is that Spurs will going to win in 6 games. June 30 will also be a marked date because of our fantasy league live draft. It's time to grab Oden or Durant in early rounds.
